Three Bean Chili
Makes 8 to 10 servings
2 pounds lean ground round
3 teaspoons chili powder
1 small yellow onion, chopped
2 16-ounce cans Dark Red Kidney Beans
2 16-ounce cans Pinto Beans
2 16 ounce can Black Beans
1 14.5-ounce chopped tomatoes
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 6-ounce can tomato paste
Sour cream to garnish
Sliced green onions to garnish
Brown ground beef in Dutch oven or stock pot. Add chili powder while browning and mix in well. Add onion and pepper to meat and brown for 2 minutes. Drain off excess grease. Stir in remaining ingredients except sour cream. Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes. Serve with a dollop of sour cream and sliced green onions.
